The Chandler Limited EMI TG Opto Compressor is 100% handmade, fully discrete, mono, dual space module for 500 series racks. Chandler Limited is the only company in the world authorized to develop, manufacture and market the “Official Equipment” of EMI/Abbey Road studios.

The TG Opto offers the same sound characteristics as the TG1 Opto, TG1 and Zener Limiters, which trace their lineage to the historic EMI TG12413 limiters found on the TG12345 mixing and mastering consoles. The legendary TG12345 console was the signature sound of the Beatles final record Abbey Road as well as Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

With such simple controls, the TG Opto offers a larger than life sound. The controls include selectable sharp and rounded knee types, continuous input, makeup gain, attack, release and true bypass.

Using the sharp knee, the TG Opto is capable of creating massive drum sounds to add unlimited amount of attitude and depth to a recording, also commonly used in parallel on vocals and guitars. In the rounded mode, the compression is far less obvious, allowing it to control the source but seem transparent in the mix.

Fine-tune the compression to any source with its continuous control-set, which will make the TG Opto respond exactly how you see fit and allow the creation of a variety of tones.

Now you have the ability to create the entire classic console channel all within a 500 series rack with the addition of the TG2-500 preamp and TG12345 MKIV equalizer.
