Modular analog harmonics generator
Colour is a modular platform dedicated to analog harmonic saturation created by DIY Recording Equipment. The 500-series Colour Palette provides sockets for three modular distortion stages, called Colours. Each Colour imparts a different type of saturation. The Palette allows the user to dial between subtle and aggressive saturation and set the output level via a trim knob.
Colour was released in 2014 as an open-source DIY kit and modular platform. At the time of writing, 9 Colours have been released for the format by 5 different designers, including Louder Than Liftoff, Eisen Audio, and XQP Audio.
The 500-series Palette and Colours are available as DIY kits and assembled units from DIY Recording Equipment.
