Grant Richter's Random Voltage Generator
The Wogglebug is a random voltage generator designed by Grant Richter and inspired by the Buchla 265 / 266 Source of Uncertainty module.
Used by itself or in combination with other modules the Wogglebug can help you to create those ever sought-after self evolving patches.
Grant Richter’s Wiard Wogglebug (version #3) has be be heard to be believed. It is a self contained random voltage generator that can be used either by itself or with other modules to provide a source of musical unpredictability.
The Wogglebug features multiple simultaneous outputs of random control voltage and audio signals which can be used to create unimaginable sound combinations.
Smooth VCO / Control Voltage
Woggle VCO / Control Voltage
Ring Modulated Audio
Stepped Control Voltage
The Wogglebug also includes 3 Clock outputs.
Smooth and Stepped fluctuation voltages are created by two internal VCOs, a vactrol based low frequency smoothing filter and Sample & Hold.
The module’s Woggle feature is a stepped random voltage that has decaying sine-wave-like impulses. This creates a bouncing voltage in response to changes in the stepped output.
Smooth and Woggled audio sources are ring modulated and output.
