MIDI controlled relays
This module uses MIDI note on/off messages to control 8 different relays. It can be used for routing 1 signal to 8 different places or combining 8 different sources into 1 output. Each of the sides can also be used independant of one another, so both sets of four jacks can be smaller routing or mixing sections as well. All 8 switches can be on at the same time, allowing crude mixing capabilities (with the 2 attenuators on each side). Another feature is that 5vDC is normalled to the input when no jacks are inserted, so all 8 outputs (or just one side) could allow MIDI to gate output control. The module pictured is 1 of 3 prototypes made to test the concept.
