Dual FX Pedal Interface
Adding some fx pedals to the patch seems simple enough. Both have ¼” jacks. All I need to do is plug one into the other, bada bing, bada boom, now I got some sweet distortion/chorusing/delay/etc. in the mix. Not so fast. An fx pedal expects a VERY different signal than a modular synthesizer does, and vice versa. It’s a matter of impedances and signal levels, and when they’re not matched properly, the sound suffers. Sometimes it sounds right, sometimes, well…it sounds unusably bad.
The FSFX 119 Dual FX Pedal Interface allows your fx pedals to be easily integrated into your modular synthesizer. It does this by reducing the signal level when being sent to the fx pedals, then adding gain when returning the signal back to the modular synth. Impedances are also adjusted at the fx pedal send and return points. Now using your fx pedals in your patch is as simple as it should be!
