Replica of Roland Jupiter-6 filter
This module is a replica of the Roland Jupiter 6 (1983) voltage controlled filter which comprises two 2-pole State Variable filters in series. Forty years later the AM8060 contains the same two SVF's, with each of the 2-pole filters switchable into either Low Pass or High Pass mode providing three VCF modes all with variable resonance.
The filter has a more aggressive sound than the 4-pole OTA filter in the Jupiter 8, along with a lot more flexibility in sounds. The AMSynths AM8060 JP6 VCF EuroRack module was launched in late 2010 and immediately gained positive feedback from customers.
In 2022 the module has been re-issued with Rpar AS3109 chips, a revised resonance control circuit, red LED slider potentiometers and black control knobs. A pair of momentary switches with red LED indicators select the filter mode.
The two inputs are mixed using the rotary INPUT MIX pot, and filter cutoff and filter modulation (KYBD, LFO and ENV) are controlled by slide potentiometers with red LED indicators. Resonance is adjusting using the rotary RESONANCE pot.
