HG-16 is a lower cost version of the older HG-30 module. As its name suggests, in its basic operation mode as a harmonic generator it has a maximum of 16 harmonics. It is also a multimodal Eurorack module with 14 different operating modes, see www.audiospektri.com for a complete manual of all the modes. The more complex modes include e.g. vocoders, PM, FM and noise synthesis, as well as pseudo-VCF. It uses mostly additive synthesis, but some modes also use subtractive, filtering based synthesis. It has inputs for 4 external envelope generators that can be SW routed to control the various parameters of the module. It also requires an external MIDI interface module to feed the VC note, pitch bend, and velocity inputs.
