three-channel divider
Divider can work as clasical Clock/Trigger/Gate divider as well as frequency divider module at audio-rate.
With an old-school design, no menu-diving at all and intuitively simple interface, this module occupies only 6hp. One more design feature: the module can be comfortably used upside down because all the labels on the panel are mirrored for convenience.
The Divider consists of 3 channels which works independently. Each channel has slide-switches to set their division values.
Selectable division values of channels are:
/2, /3, /4,
/4, /5, /6,
/6, / 7, /8.
The division values of the Divider are not randomly chosen, its cover the entire range of integers from 2 to 8. Notice that the value ranges of neighboring channels overlap each other in their first and last divider value. So you can set the same divider value on the two channels (either phase-synchronized or not).
And speaking of synchronization.
The Reset input helps to sync/restart Divider channels.
The first channel of the divider is always associated with Reset input. And the second and third channels can individually link up to Reset. This gives you the flexibility to adjust the Divider, for example, for hard synchronization or for independent rhythmic structures of selected channels. It also allows you to use self-patching (or external signals sent to reset) to create rhythmic patterns.
Other features:
* Divider keeps the duration of incoming clocks signal, so it is not only able to trigger envelope generators, but can also directly gate them, providing correct articulation with variable rhythmic patterns.
* Divider works perfectly with rectangular signals, such as Clock/Trigger/Gate and square/pulse signals from LFO-s, VCO-s and even S&H (if the signal level crosses the 1V threshold). But you may experiment with other waveforms or noise (this can lead to interesting results).
* Otput voltage range: 0..5V
* Signal status LEDs at output channels.
