Elvis Filter is a recreation of the VCF in D&D's old modular synth from the 70s : Elvis. The Sample & Hold from this synth has been serviced by a company in England who found too difficult to restore this complex design containing old and obsolete fet transistors, so they replaced it by an LFO with a negative offset going into the VCF's control voltage input. We found this so awesome to make wild bass sounds or crazy resonant noises that we decided to include it in this eurorack recreation, it is called "X Factor".
Elvis filter is a ladder VCF, perfect for smooth and warm subs, bass or lead sounds.
It is powered by a 16 pins power supply connector. The CV rail from the doepfer bus system goes directly into CV1 input, this can be very convenient, it can be disabled by a jumper if this rail is used for some other purpose.
