Voice recorder module
This module uses a ISD1820PY voice recorder chip to playback sounds.
This is the second module I have designed with this chip, the voicerec2 also uses this chip. The chip has a problem, the problem is that it powers off after it has played the sound it recorded, resulting in a nasty click in the sound. Tom Verbruggen told me a nice trick he uses to get rid of this click is to use a vactrol to make the volume go down when the rest LED turns on from the ISD1820, this seems to work so I implemented it in this module. The LED also starts the sample playback, so then it is permanently looped.
ON/OFF/ON TOGGLE SWITCH:
The module has a gate input that can be set to shortened or normal gate or off using this switch.
MIC
The mic is located under the holes left of the black button.
RED BUTTON:
Record a sample.
BLACK BUTTON:
Turns volume off and stop sample at end of playback (it also acts as a reset if smith goes wrong).
BLACK KNOB:
This is at the playback speed.
WHITE KNOB:
Adjust CV input volume.
RED KNOB:
Adjust Audio volume.
LEFT TOP JACK:
Gate input.
LEFT BOTTOM JACK:
Gate output, this is the reset signal (if you send a signal it the volume goes down).
RIGHT TOP JACK:
CV input.
RIGHT BOTTOM JACK:
Audio output.
