Synth Palette
KOLORA puts a complete palette in your hands, all within a module just 42HP wide. It includes two oscillators (one analog and one digital), two VCAs, two LFOs, a 4-pole state-variable filter (VCF), three noise generators, an envelope generator, a sequencer, a mixer, and several additional utilities, such as an active multiple and an OR/AND logic mixer—all in an intuitive, easy-to-use design.
Analog and digital oscillators
Both worlds are represented here: one oscillator is based around the legendary 3340 chip, a temperature-stabilized oscillator core offering linear and exponential FM, pulse width modulation, hard sync, and four waveforms—sine, triangle, saw, and pulse. The other oscillator is a wavetable synth with up to 16 different waveforms. You can even upload your favorites!
More noises
Add an extra texture layer with a noise generator featuring three different flavors: classic white and pink noises, and a clocked LFSR noise, similar to the sounds found in old video game consoles.
Amplify and modulate
Two VCAs, two LFOs, and one ADSR envelope generator are included in this module, allowing modulation with sine, triangle, or square waves. The amplifier can be modulated or even used without any CV input.
Patterns
Another essential component in a Eurorack is a step sequencer. KOLORA includes one that allows you to create up to 8-step patterns. It provides flexibility for crafting rhythms or melodic sequences, bringing an additional layer of dynamism to your modular setup.
The filter
Another important block is the filter. KOLORA has a 4-pole state-variable filter with three simultaneous responses: Low Pass, Band Pass, and High Pass. Furthermore, it is self-oscillating, so you can play melodies by inputting a V/OCT signal into its CUTOFF input.
Mix and more
As if that weren’t enough, we included an active mixer and additional utilities, such as a buffered active multiple and Boolean OR/AND logic operators. Nice, right?
