Delay time 0 to 2s (jumper removed, resolution 700us) or 0-7s (jumper set, resolution 2ms).
There can be an „non-rhytmic“ output at moment of changing delay time. Memory is read at different ratio (faster or slower) to ensure no trig/gate is lost. If delaytime change is made with active trigger/gate this trigger/gate can be held active for a while (until desired delay time is reached).
Imagine an tape recorder with fixed tape speed and recording and play heads in some distance (=set delay time). If distance is increased delay time increases too, if distance is lowered delay time is shortened.
At time of head movement there can be „non-rhytmic“ artifacts because play head meets recorded triggers more often (than they was recorded) and play them at higher speed (and they may be shortened too of course).
If time is increased (play head is moved away from rec head almost with tape) and at this moment is recorded gate present this gate will be played for longer time than was recorded.
Because there is limited speed of „head movement“ (speed of delay time change) delay time cannot be changed abruptly. This ensures all recorded trig/gates will be played (no one will be skipped or lost).
