Balanced line output w. level meter

Balanced line output module converting Eurorack level signal to line level signal.

From top:

20-LED meter (-40dB to +6dB)
input 1/8″ jack (modular level)
output 1/8″ jack (modular or line level – jumper selectable)
output 1/4″ jack (balanced, line level)

On board settings (see picture):
– jumpers for modular or line level for 1/8″ outputs (jumper header in upper position makes modular output level, lower position = line level)
– ground lift jumper for balanced output (jumper header set = 1/4″ output grounded, removed = gnd lift)
– jumper for peak hold style (jumper header set = peak dissapears, removed = falls down)
– meter calibration trimmer

1/8″ outputs can be used at modular level to feed signal back to modular or can be set to line level as second line auxiliary outputs

Front panel button is used for setting meter mode:
short click cycles PPM -> VU -> RMS -> AVG -> PPM… modes
long press toggles peak hold on/off
really long button press (over 10s, while display blinks) toggles between bar and dot displaying modes
holding button while power-on changes most bottom LED function – indicating -40dB signal level or permanently shining (showing power-on state and start of scale – really useful in dot mode)

When an setting is changed then meter blinks with LEDs according to this parameter first (changing peak hold on/off blinks with most top LEDs, changing PPM, VU, RMS, AVG modes blinks LEDs next to panel marked letters, changing last LED indication blinks with last LED:) ) and then meter shows all current setting (most top LEDs for peak hold on/off, bar up to PPM/VU/RMS/AVG letters for bar mode or two or three LEDs next to marked letters for dot mode). So changed parameter LEDs blinks and then all current setting is showed for a while. Settings are memorized.

PPM (peak program meter) and VU-meter are based on signal peaks (VU-meter with slower time-constants), RMS (root mean square) and AVG (average) modes are based on averaging/integrating RMS level of input signal (AVG with slower time constants) showing “averaged” signal level (“loudness”).

Frequency range: 15Hz to 60kHz (-1dB), 10Hz to 80kHz (-3dB)
THD+N: better than 0,01%
Meter precision +-1LED
Input impedance 100kOhm, AC coupled

Width: 4TE/ 4HP/ 20mm
Depth: 62mm /2,5″ max.
Current: 90mA max. in bar mode, 40mA max. in dot mode (strongly suggest you dot mode)

Double check power connection before powering your system please.
„Red strip“ means -12V connector side in Eurorack standards.
In some power distribution systems connector key can be reverted.
In this case cut connector key and plug power connector right way (with respect to red strip) or use different power cable appropriate to your power system.
