Dual Latch from Empirical Circuits

A dual SR flip-flop with toggle inputs!

Dual Latch is a utility module in a 2hp form factor. It is a dual set / reset flip-flop. A trigger sent to a SET input (up arrow) sets the gate (!) output to its high state, while a trigger sent to the RESET input (down arrow) sets the gate low. The gates outputs swing from 0 to +7.5v volts and are buffered, so work well as sub-oscillators. The gold up/down arrows are the TOGGLE inputs, for toggling the state of the gate - one trig will flip the state, another trig will flip it back. You get two of these ‘latches’ in a package.

The gates can be used to control anything in your Modular. This module was created to provide a way control the hold/freeze inputs on certain digital modules in a synchronized, rhythmic fashion. It is capable of completing this task and many other useful functions. AND one of the gate outputs with another trigger signal sent to a voice for fills! It's a digital function generator that can be used alone or in conjunction with a wide range of other modules to add a new layer of control to your Eurorack system.

Typically triggers are sent to the inputs, but they are designed to accept any type of signal (they are comparators that activate at 1.5 volts) and can handle a massive range of frequencies since the module has a CMOS heart.

Power is reverse polarity protected and current limited and uses a 10-pin Eurorack power ribbon.
