Harmonic generator/synthesizer/vocoder
HG-16 black is a variant for those who like to have darker modules in their Eurorack. It is slighty lower cost, compared to the old
gold colored HG-16, because the conventional screen printed face is lower cost than the laser patterned, anodised aluminium one of the gold variants. It also has the difference that the Eurorack gate and the note determining voltages have front panel input jacks, while the gold variant has them fed from the bus. In software they are identical, both are multimodal Eurorack modules with 14 different operating modes, see www.audiospektri.com for a complete manual of all the modes. The more complex modes include e.g. vocoders, PM, FM and noise synthesis, as well as pseudo-VCF. It uses mostly additive synthesis, but some modes also use subtractive, filtering based synthesis. It has inputs for 4 external envelope generators that can be SW routed to control the various parameters of the module. It also requires an external MIDI interface module to feed the VC note, pitch bend, and velocity inputs. Several sound samples from the operating modes can also be listened at the website or Soundcloud, and user instructions follow closely the HG-30 instructions in YouTube, see
