Attenuverter is a special version of an attenuator that can also invert the polarity of the signal or voltage going through it. Attenuverters use pass-through no signal at their center position; as you turn them clockwise, you turn up the normal version of the signal; as you turn them counterclockwise, they turn up an inverted version of the signal.
It is a useful 3hp utility module that allows for signal or CV inverting and offsetting (for boosting signal 2x or 4x you need to add the resistor*) - in order to achieve interesting modulation effects. The inverted and normal outputs can be used simultaneously.
If nothing is connected to the input, it will act as a fixed voltage source.
