Automatic Gain Control Mic
The AGCMic is a module that uses a Automatic Gain Control and a Microphone.
It can be used to make drums sounds using feedback, you can shack this before it to make drum sounds, or sing into it. This module can give loud feedback if used in a live situation, so be carefull when using it live because it might not do what you expect. For instance the distance you have from the speakers effects the feedback frequency giving maybe only low frequency feedback if you are far away. But it is allot of fun to have because it is very direct and you get unexpected things entering into your music from environmental sounds. If you want little feed it works good with headphones.
It does this in the following steps:
1. Audio comes from a electret microphone module with the AGC IC MAX9814.
2. A trimmer potmeter to adjust the gain.
3. A potmeter to adjust the gain by hand.
4. The signal is made about 10v Peak to Peak (can be adjusted with a trimmer potmeter).
5. A Cross fader between high and low pass filter, the filters can be adjusted with 2 trimmer potmeters.
6. Over the filter there are two clipping diodes to keep the signal between 10v peak to peak.
Toggle switch:
* UP: Mic on if signal HIGH on gate input, without cable connection mic is on.
* MIDDLE: Mic on on rising edge of gate signal.
* DOWN: Mic off.
Specifications:
* Width: 6cm
* Depth: 28mm
* Power consumption: +12v very little, -12v very little.
These merchants probably sell this module. Huh?
