Recreation of the Moog 984 Four Channel Mixer from 1968
OVERVIEW This module is recreation of the Moog 984 Four Channel Mixer from 1968. It is an accurate reproduction of the original schematics and transistor only design. It is a four input/output audio matrix mixer with decoupling capacitors in the signal chain, so it should not be used as a CV mixer.
The module is designed to enable custoimers to build an accurate Moog Modular IIIp/c by expanding the Behringer System 55 Modular System.
DESCRIPTION The AM984 has four Moog Modular level audio signal levels that are feed into any mix of the four channels. Each channel has a EQ section with Bass and Treble boost and cut, followed by a final channel level control. This modules delivers a superb sound, with high quality components used throughout including PPS SMD capacitors in the EQ sections and low noise transistors. It is perfect as a final audio mixer in your Moog Modular signal chain.
TRUNK LINES There are four rear mounted Thonkiconn jack sockets on the AM984 PCB. Two are normalised to Inputs 3 and 4 and two are connected to Outputs 3 and 4. This enables the customer to connect rear facing jack sockets within their cabinet to the AM984. This can be used to connect a stero external audio source and to connect the AM984 in stereo to an audio interface.
CONNECTIONS There are eight 3.5 mm jack sockets on the base of the black anodised aluminium front panel:
4x audio inputs
4x audio outputs
There is also four rear mounted Thonkiconn jack sockets, two are normalised to Input 3 and 4 and two are connected to outputs 3 and 4.
The module comes with a 10-pin power cable and a set of mounting screws and washers (M3 black).
