Clockconverter from DIN-sync or MIDI-clock to analog clocking and control signals
ClockBoy is a flexible tool for clock handling.
ClockBoy provides the outgoing clock signals for DIN-Sync and MIDI on the 5 pole DIN socket.
ClockBoy is available in two variations of the frontpanel. The "skiff version" (shown in the pictures) provides the sockets at the rear position. So the start / stop buttons are not hidden by cables. The "rack version" (no picture available yet - sorry) provides the sockets at the lower position, so the cables don't hang over the start / stop buttons.
To read MIDI-clock from another source than a ClockMan a MIDI input/output module from the VMC series like fanwander MIDI-ITO or fanwander MIDI-3IT is required.
The connection to ClockMan is achieved by the VMC bus. To read DIN-Sync the built in DIN socket is used
For the usermanual see: https://www.florian-anwander.de/clockboy/
Remark on the power consumption: the module can be supplied either via +12V or via +5V. Due to the converter losses, the power consumption is approximately 10% higher if supplied via +12V than via +5V. As for all digital modules supply via +5V is recommended to avoide digital noise.
