303 filter and insane distortion in 8hp.
303 Box is Xanu's take on analog emulation. We took one of our favourite bass synths, the 303, and tried to recreate its filter. We then made our most insane distortion yet and paired it with the filter. Pair this with an envelope, sequencer and oscillator (preferably all Xanu, but hey, use what you like), and you've got a modular 303.
The filter, on the left of the module, is an 18dB ladder filter based on the original schematics of the 303. It has cutoff, resonance, cv amount, and input volume controls, as well as audio in and out and cutoff cv input. The distortion, on the right, has gain and clip controls, audio in and out, and gain CV input.
The two parts are separate units, but the filter output is normalled to the distortion input. You can use the filter output alone if you just want the filter. To use the distortion separately, simply plug something into the distortion input, and it decouples from the filter output.
