Eurorack VCF using Fatkeys™ SSI2144 from Sound Semiconductor
Build your own FATKEYS™ FOUR-POLE VOLTAGE CONTROLLED FILTER (SSI2144) that reprises the SSM2044 of legacy chipmaker Solid State Microtechnology, which many believe to be the best-sounding analog synthesis filter IC ever produced.
Based on Dave Rossum’s patented classic improved ladder topology, the SSI2144 allows rich tonal characteristics that showcase the very best attributes of subtractive synthesis. Most importantly, the SSI2144 preserves the coveted sonic character of the SSM2044.

Board accepts SSOP and DIP16 packages and adapters.
You can purchase the SSI2144 and/or DIP16 adapter from various sources including Modular Addict.
SyntherJack has an adapter that you can buy or make and you may use Flip pins available on Tindie.com to complete your adapter.
This board will also accept the original SSM2044 if you have one.
This module will fit perfectly into a 6HP Eurorack space.
Comprehensive manuals, parts lists and component shopping carts are provided in the documentation link for building, testing and using the module.
