Buchla/Euro Signal Converter
The 8 euro to Buchla CV channels have a gain of 1.2000
The 2 Buchla to euro CV channels have a gain of 0.83333 (1/1.2)
The 8 euro to Buchla gate/pulse channels produce a 10V 3.5ms pulse followed by a 5V sustain level (for the duration of the input gate). The input switching threshold is +2.8V and will work with any wave shape that goes through the +2.8V level (e.g. a gate or an ADSR). The pulse outputs are diode coupled so can be linked together (literally connect the red sockets together with banana patch leads) to provide complex pulse patterns (a logical OR of the combined outputs); having a whole load of channels available means you can combine gates which could open up all sorts of rhythmic possibilities.
The 2 Buchla to euro pulse/gate channels can trigger from either the 10V trigger part of the pulse or the 5V sustain part of the pulse using the switch in trig or gate positions. The output level is 10V and the input switching thresholds are 2.6V (gate position) or 7.7V (trig position).
The 2 audio channels are passive link adaptors with Tinijax and euro jacks. You may need to control auio levels between the two synths i.e. boost audio coming into euro and likewise attenuate audio going to the Buchla. Please do not plug a Tinijax patch cable into an euro sockets as it will stree the contacts. Euro jack plus into Tinijax sockets is fine.
The ground (gnd) socket must be connected to the Buchla ground socket with a banana patch lead. The ground socket is on the rear of the 200 series boats or on the right hand side panel of the easel.
