The tone and bass knobs let you control the EQ for helping humbuckers cut through or thickening single coils as required and the 'Flat/Sculpt' switch scoops loads of the mids out and boosts the bass for a dramatically different fuzz voice.

The volume knob controls the overall output of the pedal and the fuzz knob controls the amount of distortion and octave, there is a lot of volume and gain available through these two knobs, dial down the fuzz to minimum for a cleaner octave sound (turning the volume control down on your guitar will also make the octave effect more prominent).
