Excellent Tube Overdrive Pedal

Combined circuit (IC-chip JRC4558 and 6N4-J/12AX7/ECC83 tube)

Warm and very good amplike tube tones from (almost) clean boost to tube (amp) overdrive, even with the original 6N4-J tube, which in this case has been replaced with an excellent sounding Valvo ECC83 or an even better sounding RFT ECC83.

Can be powered with 9-12V AC as well as with 12-18V DC! 1A minimum required.

Lower voltages sound even warmer, rounder, while higher voltages produce more hedaroom, dynamics, a louder output as well as more intense, more biting, more british sounding highs and more preent overtones, experimenting is recommended!

Generally the pedal produces really nice (classic) british tones (Plexi to JCM-range), different tubes and different voltages result in more or less different, more vintage or more modern voiced sounds.

The sound can be drastically improved by using a warmer sounding ECC83/12AX7, like a vintage Valvo, Mullard, Brimar, Mazda, Telefunken, EI,... but also a new EHX sounds great. Brighter tubes like RCA, GE, Sylvania,.. tend to sound too shrill, compared to warmer (european) ones.
