Description

Here's yet another of my very early US-made Big Muff reissue (year 2000/2001) - the rarer one with the Dakaware knobs. Also known as the V9. You can recognize these earliest ones by the unpainted "silver circle" around the on/off switch and the position of the lamp ("on the line"), which was later moved further up.This one has the Frantone-re-designed 3003-A circuit. It still has the coveted four 2N5088 transistors. This circuit was only used until ~2007, and is the first to add true bypass (many prefer this), did some other changes which sound great. This one is known to be the best circuit of the reissues - it roars and squeals just like you want it, exaclty like the early 70s "Ram's Head" ones. Do some research and you'll know what I'm talking about... but since you're here already, I guess you're in the know! ;) Works 100% flawless, ready to rock right away. All original and in quite amazingly good shape for its 24 years, only minor scratches all in all! We all know how easily these old Muffs can get scratched up and rusty (see my other one currenly f/s)! Even the rubber feet and battery door (and its screw) are still there (they often go missing)! Please ask if you need to see or know anything more. Oh and make sure to check out my store for other cool and rare items for sale.
