Vox Tone Bender V828 from around 68-69. Made in Italy, I suppose, even if its labeled Vox and not Jen.Low price because the attack is stuck on max and all the knob does is to kill the signal when turned half way up.This is probably a rather easy fix but I dont have the time myself for it right now. There are not too many components in the circuit to check. The transistors are replaced with newer ones. The sound is still sparkly ,chimey and harmonic as expected so I dont know if the hype around the germaniums are fully motivated. There is a cap for the attack pot which is new but I dont know if that is the faulty link. I dont even know if its supposed to be a cap connected there or if its some kind of mod...?All in all, at the end of the day, its a super cool pedal and look at the last picture how well it serves as a decoration on the TV shelf! How many pedals have an Italian design so beautiful its allowed to exist in the living room?
