About the Unicorn Account

Description

All-in-One guitar FX solution.Has an analog drive section (think Tube Screamer style) that can be bypassed. The remainder of the FX are digital, wide-ranging and are rather good and useful.Make up your own settings from scratch, or start out with the permanent factory presets and tweak from there. There are 30 Factory Presets, and 60 memory slots for you to save your creations.MIDI capable and the ability to attach an expression pedal.Exceptionally good "Whammy" section. I've done a lot with that effect to great satisfaction. NOTE: These units are well-know to occasionally, and randomly "freeze up" and become non responsive after a program change or long period of idle while on. The cure is to just unplug and re-plug the power and let the unit recycle itself. This is common, but not frequent. The unit is not broken, just flawed a bit. I've trusted this unit enough to regularly gig with it. The freeze thing was more prevalent when using the G-switch. I moved to using a G-minor MIDI switcher and had no freeze problem. Just wanted you to be aware ICYMI.Overall a great, highly flexible, good-sounding unit that is great support on a gig, or hours of bedroom playing. Also, this is a good high-end, reasonably priced processor for those of you just starting out in guitar. It can take you a long way before having to spend a lot of money on pedals or newer processors. Box and Manual included. Power is supplied by a standard IEC computer style cable (included).Note: This unit does not have the built-in SPDIF interface. It was eliminated in these later models.
