The Friedman Smallbox. The closest I ever came to getting a Plexi Marshall Sound… without an actual plexi. This one is in perfect shape, never gigged with it, not a single scratch. Works like a charm. Works great for both humbuckers, P90 and Fender single coils as the eq on this pedal is phenomenal. This pedal is incredible, it really gets those crunch and lead sounds we all know and love. But then it does even more as it has a more dynamic range than what you’d expect from a standard Marshall amp. It does cleans very well, you can use it as a clean EQ boost, as the active eq knobs are excellent. I don’t want to part ways with this pedal but I’m trying to shrink my board as much as possible. It also looks beautiful… I’m able to get a somewhat convincing Marshall sound with my Boss Katana— good enough for gigs. But the sound is better with this Friedman Smallbox. I can only imagine how good the amp version of this pedal sounds like!
