Up for sale, a 1979 Boss PH-1 Phaser, near-mint and in perfect working order. The original Boss compact phaser pedal, this is an extremely early "silver screw" version of the PH-1, also featuring the small inked serial number above the switch in the battery compartment.
This phaser offers incredibly lush, undulating swooshes. The Rate control has a particularly wide range from 100ms to 16 seconds, and the Depth is very responsive for subtle effects to dynamic swells.
The pedal has just a few tiny marks on the enclosure, the original knobs are intact, and the black silkscreen graphics are well-kept. The black foil “Made in Japan” label is present, and the inked serial number in the battery compartment dates the pedal to October, 1979.
