Boss CS-2 Compression Sustainer Model Compressor Effect (1985), made in Japan, serial # 577400, blue enamel finish. There are few pedals more recognizable and universally beloved by guitarists than the Boss line of effects pedals: affordable, produced en masse, and offered in a (now) classic array of bright colors. The CS-2 Compression Sustainer is a classic compression pedal, 'compressing' the louder bits of the signal and giving a boost to quieter bits with knobs for dialing in the exact amount of attack and sustain you desire. This pedal features a simple three knob layout that provided more versatility and superior 'attack' control to its predecessor the CS-1; the CS-2 not only now included an 'attack' knob, but also offered a faster attack with the use of a Voltage Control Amplifier or VCA.Height is 4 3/4 in. (12.1 cm.), 2 1/2 in. (6.4 cm.) width, and 2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) ., 1 lbs. This pedal is in fully functional condition with some cosmetic wear. The stickers on the back, as well as the plastic ring around the stomp screw and all four knobs, are all firmly in tact. Most wear is simply visible chipping in the paint, while the original 'sustain' knob is missing the small metal washer in the center. This pedal does not come with a box. Very Good + Condition.
