Up for sale, a 1989 Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. The original Japanese-made iteration of this stompbox, this pedal offers twin distortion modes with Level, Tone, and Distortion controls, as well as a two-position Turbo knob. Turbo Mode I produces warm and mellow distortion with flat frequency response, while Turbo Mode II provides biting distortion with a midrange boost that’s perfect for leads. A built-in remote jack allows users to connect an external footswitch, such as the FS-5L (not included), for instant, hands-free switching between modes.
Cosmetic wear includes some minor marks on the enclosure, with clean black silkscreen graphics. The original quartet of orange knobs is present along with the silver foil “Made in Japan” label and serialized sticker on the back, dating production to October 1989.
