Up for sale, a 1980s Ibanez MS10 Metal Charger in mint condition, complete with the original box and paperwork. Part of the Power Series (aka the 10 Series), this exceedingly well-kept Ibanez distortion/overdrive boasts a whopping four JRC4558D dual op-amp ICs.
Tonally, this MS10 lands somewhere in between a Tube Screamer and an original ProCo RAT, easily delivering the smooth, creamy crunch of the former with a touch of RAT-style buzzsaw sizzle and cut when dialing things up. Controls include Distortion, Level, Attack, Punch, and Edge knobs; Edge and Punch control Treble and Bass, respectively, and the Attack knob enables a very dynamic, natural feel, highly responsive to user inputs.
This particular MS10 is virtually unplayed, without a mark on the green enclosure. The graphics are pristine, and the quintet of knobs are also very clean. The serialized black foil “Made in Japan” sticker is present on the baseplate.
The original box is included, along with the factory paperwork.
