Programmable Guitar Pedal
If you've ever wanted to design your own effects pedal, the Electrosmith Daisy Petal can make that a reality. The Daisy Petal is a fully programmable pedal powered by Daisy, an open source platform for audio programming, but eliminates the worry of learning about circuit design by offering a set of common controls and features found on guitar pedals. The Petal features stereo audio inputs and outputs, as well as an abundance of knobs and footswitches, providing aspiring programmers plenty to work with in developing their dream effects. Petal will also work great as a general outboard audio processor, including a switch for instrument or line-level audio.
Daisy is an open source platform for audio development, primarily utilizing programs written in the C++ language. Electrosmith also includes support for exported Gen~ patches from Max/MSP, Pure Data patches compiled with Heavy, compatibility with Arduino libraries, and more. Anyone can get started with Daisy, regardless of their prior experience with programming. An abundance of example programs are available, from synthesizers to samplers to effects, providing a starting point by editing an existing idea to your liking.
