The Seths is an extreme fuzz/distortion with versatile tone options! It handles low end great, since it's technically a super-upgraded version of the fuzz side of the BigWig Bass Driver (so it's great on heavy guitars and bass)
The controls are all labeled Seths, but here's a rundown of what they do: upper left is Volume; lower left is Character (all the way left is more fuzz/louder, and all the way right is quieter/cleaner; upper right is Tone (all the way left is full bass, and all the way right is all treble); lower right is Flex (it adds some more tone flexibility depending on where the Tone control is set); the right 3-way switch is a clipping diode selector (what made the first Seths so interesting is how distorted it could get without the help of clipping diodes, but they've been added just in case! Middle is no diodes (loudest, V1 Seths), Up is vintage symmetrical (quieter, compressed, slightly more distortion), Down is Modern Asymmetrical which is slightly quieter than middle, with an off balanced distortion, good for textural playing. The left switch when up turns on a Feedback Loop. When the the switch is up, everything before the pedal will be changing the feedback (your guitar/bass pickups, volume control, tone, cables, preceding pedals, etc.), and to top it all off, it then also uses Light for the photocell (lower left of pedal) for a wild noise maker!
The Seths uses Soft Touch True Bypass (The infamous Incandenza Bypass by Steve Demedash!), uses most any standard 9VDC center negative power supplies, red indicator LED, top mount jacks, and is handmade in Morgantown, WV.
Pedal name and artwork inspired by Karen Russell's "Swamplandia!" and the name for all their alligators.
