Dual Echo And Delayed Modulation
However, they are now two delays. Connected online (usually for guitar pedals in live shows) or in parallel (for stereo recordings, keyboard players).
When in mono, Space City creates layers of delay, two different times, giving presence in the short repetitions and depth in the long repetitions.
When in stereo, Space City creates ambiance and 3d effects, typical of similar repetitions. However, because they are analog, they will hardly be the same delay time.
The feedback knob is push-pull, that is, you can choose between feedback 1 and feedback 2 (like that's Echo Folks, but instead of being a switch, it's the knobs themselves). In feedback 2, active by push-pull, the feedback doubles, creating more depth for the effect.
In addition to delays, you can control Space City's chorus / vibrato. There are three controls, SPEED, DEPTH and CHORUS DELAY TIME.
With specific settings added to the CHORUS DELAY TIME with delay feedback 2, you get science fiction effects from the 50's, or timbres very similar to Brian Eno's MUSIC FOR AIRPLANES (our inspiration!).
The SPEED and the chorus / vibrato DEPTH are the traditional ones of our STEREOVIBE, controlling the intensity and depth of the chorus / vibrato.
The chorus / vibrato can be active only on one channel or simultaneously on both channels.
In stereo, this chorus / vibrato effect can give the famous 3D dimension to the effect. In mono, it creates depth and intensity, added to the delay.
The pedal switches are 4:
MASTER - activates and deactivates the entire effect.
CHORUS 1 - active channel 1 chorus / vibrato
CHORUS 2 - activates channel 2 chorus / vibrato (note that the chorus / vibrato effect is independent per channel)
DELAY TIME 1/2 - changes the delay time of the left channel of the standard knob to a knob at the top of the pedal, to construct effects similar to the pig's tail of That Echo Folks, but in a much more comfortable way, of course.
In short, this pedal is a separate instrument. Classy and poisonous. Perfect for guitar players looking for new effects, different from those on the market.
