The 8 Step Complex Sequencing Programmer is a modern take on the classic Serge N-Step sequencer.

ACTIVE STAGE PULSE OUTPUT: High when the stage is active
STAGE SELECT PULSE INPUT: A logic input selects the stage and loads its address as the current preset
PRESET GATE OUT: This is high when a new preset event occurs, whether by voltage preset addressing, logic high into a stage select input, or pressing a button
ABCD: This is a sequentially switched "vertical" output of the main voltage outputs A, B, C, and D.
A, B, C, and D: Main voltage outputs for their respective rows.
VERTICAL RESET: Reset for the vertical sequential switch
VERTICAL CLOCK: Clock for the vertical sequential switch
RESET: Resets to step 1.
HOLD: Freezes the sequencer.
PRESET: Loads your last preset stage.
REVERSE: Reverses direction of sequencer.
CLOCK: Advances through the stages with direction determined by reverse.
VC PRESET ADDRESS: Select stages via voltage control.

Operations have a defined priority with certain actions overriding others.
Order of priority:
RESET
PRESET
HOLD
CLOCK

TIE / RUN / SKIP switches allow you to tie the stage to the previous stage, run normally or skip the step entirely.
