Quad Lopass Gate Model 292C by Black Corporation & Buchla
The Buchla Classic Reissue 292C is a precise recreation of the iconic original Model 292 rev 2 from the Electric Music Box, with four independent voltage controlled amplifiers with attenuators that function as gates and incorporate lowpass filters. We’ve imparted the circuitry with the sought-after source module’s unique tonal and dynamic qualities, and their legendary sound mirroring the characteristics of acoustic instruments. This batch uses original NOS vactrol components, just as were used on the 292 as it was released. You can use the 292C both to create plucked/struck/bowed envelopes, and articulate natural decays as they would occur in space, plus many other creative applications.
The 292C is the revised later version of this module, with the ability for each lowpass gate to function as a gate, a filter, or a combination of the two.
Features:
• 4x independent VCAs
• 4x dedicated input and output, CV input (controlling gain), and offset adjustment
• Switch for each amplifier sets operation to gate (VCA), lowpass filter (VCF), or combination of the two
“Combo” mode: spectral response varies as you change gain - a characteristic analogous to that found on acoustic instruments
• Original NOS vactrols are used in this batch for absolute authenticity
These merchants probably sell this module. Huh?
