I think you need a mixer and an output module.
Other than that, you are getting a lot of modules for the money spent, and I am sure you will have a lot of fun!

Thanks I appreciate those recommendations, I will definitely probably choose one of those. But to try to clarify what i'm saying, basically my sound has basically been just the interstellar radio for the past 2 years i've had it. And the saturn2 for almost 4, I'm int he process of finding new VSTs right now, but I really would like something that isn't the interstellar radio to star on every recording I make. But those all look pretty good, I especially like the Schlappi 100 grit just because it is from the same company. It would be "safe" to get that one, but I'd also like to get something different. I got the A110 because I thought it would be better, and it was when I got it out the box. But when I got used to it, i realized it wasn't as powerful as the interstellar radio (for what I am doing).

This is what I have so far, I have a spot for one or two more modules and haven't been able to figure out what to fill it with for over a year. It does what I want it to do and accomplishes what I want, but it relies heavily on the interstellar radio. I basically just use that mainly and use the LFO or the A-110 as a drone in the quad VCA. It is kind of boring and the interstellar radio sometimes has a sound that is very distinct and makes a lot of my tracks kind of same-y.
I want to find something that will have a powerful precense like the interstellar radio. It is able to make a thick, full sound by itself that is amplified by it's CV ins. And it's CV outs work well with pretty much everything. I want to find something like this, but I am having a hard time figuring out what would be like it. Being able to have a strong sound while also having good CV outs that will change up the sound of the other modules. The big problem is the other modules need a lot of CV ins to not sound like a boring drone or in the case of the wogglebug, sound like just a weird repeating signal.
Any suggestions? I like distorted, aggressive sounds which the interstellar radio is able to achieve easily.
Icant recommend the cordial ones. I trusted them before i bought the expensive modular cables from them. They are the worst of all i can tell and the cables you posted got the same jackes. Just my experience.
It also would be possible to use only cables without any additional module.

This composition is a special one for me. It's actually an evolution of an older piece.I played a version of it during my first live set. That was in Paradiso, in Amsterdam.
The set was based on a difficult time in my life.
A time when I was ill, I had leukemia. Im totally healthy and healed btw.I wanted to translate what was inside me into music. Cell divisions. Sometimes going wrong.
The rushing of blood. And how that might sound in sound waves. This composition takes you on that journey.
There’s a stormy middle part. But eventually, something like hope emerges. The melody in the beginning returns at the end.But changed, brighter.

That Mazzatron module doesn't need any power and you won't need to play around with it much when it is set up. I can't help but think your best bet is to not rack it, but just kinda have it out on its own so it doesn't get pulled on due to being in a fixed position. You can always cover the sides with something if you're worried about that.
Hey Chris,
Greetings! You're very welcome! I'm having a blast with it!
Happy Patching!

How do you get the visuals? Video synthesis, I assume? Or some other method...
Regardless, I always appreciate the mix of eurorack twiddling and visuals in your vids! :)
-- JukeshoeThanks for the feedabck, I combine the audio and video using an editor called LumaFusion for ipad which has a lot of stock visuals. I just spend time seleting ones that math the music. Not tried video synthesis yet, maybe worth a look...

I appreciate the info! Keep up the good work!

I have this module as well as golden master in 1u format and have mixed feelings on it. I prefer my Befaco mixer module even though it is a bit larger.

Another one (and the best video I've seen of it so far) is here:
I made a few the first night I got it where it was by itself, and also where I had Sloths V2 modulating everything on the Module. A link to one of those is here:
i think the beauty of eurorack is that a lot can be achieved by using simple utilities/vca's and patching them to do what you need. Like others mentioned, you can use vca to do that.
Hello,
I have issues I am trying to find a format converter that takes modular 1/8 to 1/4. I need 16 channels to my mixer. So something that has 8 channels would be nice. So people that are using out board mixers in their setup how are you connecting this up?
Jason
So, after looking at around 2,000 modules I found this brand Mazzatron. So, 8 hp with 8 jacks of 1/8 to 1/4.
These are valid concerns. Maybe I can find one of the nw2s modules. These are on DB25 snakes. The company seems out of bussiness but I am sure some will pop up on reverb.
I really wanted to enjoy this module and was very excited when it came but the noise is unbearable. Makes trying to record anything basically useless. I looked around for fixes but couldn't find anything. I compared with my intellijel output modules and noise disappeared. wish they would solve the noise issue.
Does anyone sell a Acid Rain Constellation at the moment?
I would like to get one

An absolute BEAST of a Drone Synth! Harsh to Soft to totally out of this World! I've been modulating mine with Sloths and letting it open up rifts into other Dimensions!
Highly recommended!
im thinking about the same. maybe check out erica synths link. that could work. also doepfer has one but one with 2 outs that would ge a little expensive and would take a lot of rack space too.
Having 16 guitar cables snaked out of a rack seems problematic.
That's a lot of weight pulling on a module or two and probably why you havn't found one yet.
The Mazzatron module pushes the 1/4s out the back or the module.
I don't know how that could work very well.
I know you've got a plan, but you might be forced into having submixes.

Thank you.
Current setup: Middle-bottom row. I have Poti 1 and Batumi 1.
I've seen the new Batumi 2 and it would definitely be an addition, if for nothing other than having 4 more Oscillators. But the Poti 2 is an additional HP in width.
My quesions:
Maybe I get rid of the Konstant power 1 HP module, Keep the current modules or get rid of the Poti 2 and find something else to fill 4 HP?
Hi Progspiration, thanks for the advice. I will definitely take your advice into consideration. I didn't mention that outside the case I have a 0-coast and a moog mavis, and I use bitwig as a daw. Thank you!
Ahh yeah, good oldfashioned email or a simple website.
Enjoy your spare HP, don't rush to fill every last space, this is not like filling sticker books. Resist the urge to 'complete' your rack, its never complete so just relax.
Howdy!
Absolutely nothing wrong with this system, this looks like an excellent complement to the System Cartesian. The only thing that could be wrong is if you're patching with it and feel like you're missing something. I personally would want another source of modulation or two, as all of your sound sources and effects are super fun when modulated. Given the sound sources you have I'd say to either drop the Doepfer mixer and keep the LXD/ModDeMix combo (or vice versa) and fill the gap with extra LFOs or envelopes. Something like the Mutable Peaks is very versatile (a clone would be most cost effective), or depending on how you're patching the Ochd + expander could fit. If you want to keep in the Make Noise family, the new multimod could be a great way to generate a bunch of modulation on its own or manipulate the existing sources in Maths and Wogglebug.
Cheers and happy patching!

Hello everyone, I have 2 makenoise skiffs, the first skiff is a complete Make Noise system cartesian, the second skiff is the one in the post. What do you think? Do you think it is complete enough or is there something wrong? Thanks

This doesn’t seem to be about advertising on these platforms, but rather that purchasing modules from "Signs Modular" is only possible by contacting them via Instagram or X.
Personally, I also believe there should be an alternative way to get in touch, so that people don’t have to create an account on these morally and socially questionable platforms just to initiate a module purchase.
Being a business owner I know what the social media landscape is like. Small businesses can't limit their advertising potential by sacking off these terrible platforms. Reading our website stats its very clear that lots have stopped posting on social media but people are still looking at it and that still helps drive sales.
So however nice and politically correct it would be to ditch all the horror socials, for a business its not really an option just yet.
If everyone moves to Bluesky it helps and there is more engegement on there than Twitter now.
Everything my business does is to spread across all platforms then we let natural selection take effect, Threads is dead, activity on Twitter(Bot central) is pathetic along with Instagram. Facebook is still engegement to direct customers.
My ethics say close all the accounts, its just not an option in this modern world, I expect lots of small businesses to feel the same.

Modular rulz. Death to fixed architecture!!!
Please Mr Klavis,
just make a new version MK2 (+ 6hp expander) of this beauty with 4 or more cv input (16 will be perfect 1 cv by stage and by canal)
+ 4 out "end of rise" trigger + 4 out "end of cycle" trigger
and just take my money :)

Absolutely brilliant, thank you!

This video explores a unique random sequencer from 1974, which I found in the University of Iowa’s famous Electronic Music Studio. It then shows you how to recreate it using modern gear such as Make Noise’s 0-Ctrl (ordinary Eurorack sequencers will work too).
Detailed patch notes in the video:
I never met Paul but we were Facebook friends. When I heard that he had passed away, it hit me hard.
Today I have uploaded a banner graphic to the Synthesis Technology manufacturer page.
Synthesis Technology was the second company ever created on MG and the E350 is the module with a single digit Id because it was my first oscillator.
I am not sure about fixing the E352 in the list because that would be technical complicated and somewhat misleading but I think about some other way to keep up the memory.
Beep, Bopp, Bleep: info@modulargrid.net
Well, shiiiit. If this is Ansome, I’d love to get ahold of a BNE Cascading FET Amp but the website is down. HMU if you’ve got any to spare!
A soft clipping, “not boring” 3 input mixer from ThreeTom.
Very easy kit, mostly surface mount pre-installed.
Switch for linear, drive, and limiting mixing.
And a good mixer with lots of LED action to brighten your skiff at the club!
Not much more to say, it’s a fine mixer.
I much prefer the jack layout of the previous versions, easier access to the pots for obstruction free mixing.
The Synthesis Technology e352 is currently 100 in the top 100 list on modular grid. I think it should have that position permanently as a tribute to all Paul gave to modular synthesis. Can @Modulargrid please consider this request sort of like a hollywood walk of fame star for Paul. Considering all his innovative work he definitely deserves it. thanks
@sweevo do you get things sorted ?

Yes, all sorted. In fairness he got back to me pretty soon after i posted and said he would ship first thing this morning which he did. He also provided me with shipping tracking details. Really realived. I had a bad experience a few years ago with someone on ebay and it's really made me paronid/nervous, especially when you pay by paypal F&F.!
