Thanks for the response Jukeshoe and HG synth.

The idea came to me after watching a youtube video where they explain 20 or so different ways to use Maths. It's kind of an attempt to build something of an analog computer in eurorack format perhaps. I do have other cases with all kinds of modules but this feels like a nice experiment / challenge. And yes, I do have this many Maths...

I might do a writeup or a video or so of the results (me getting all tangled up in a mess of wires).

Looking for a bit of tips and feedback

I am building a Matyhs only rack. I want to see how far I can get with a case with only (mostly?) Maths in it.

Looking for:
* creative ways to patch Maths(es)
* your experience (or things you have seen) in using Maths creatively
* how far you think a system like this can go (and whether only Maths is feasible)

Thx people!

Tagging of the modules (& racks) in your collection

For all kinds of reasons it can be very useful to tag the modules in your collection. E.g. #wishlist, #jamming, #playmorewith, #3modules, #mylar, #colin, #trade, #sell, #field, #untamed, #live, #smallcase, #combo-X (X = a number), #greatwithclouds, #unpredictable, #generative, #starrynight, #stockhausen, #divkid, #hainbach, etc

Multiple lists of modules:
It would be very useful to be able to create multiple lists. This helps when reorganizing your system, keeping an overview of a wishlist, and perhaps grouping modules for particular activities (e.g. 'on-the-road modules', 'live jam modules', 'fieldrecording set', etc).

At the minimum being able to separate the modules that you have from those that are on the wishlist would already be great. And also: 'modules-I-own-that-are-currently-in-my-system' and 'modules-I-own-that-arent'

Heya,

would love it if messages in the inbox could be grouped by thread

Keep up the good work!

I am looking to bring more fully analog modules into my eurorack system. What are your favourite fully analog modules / makers?

Hi everyone

I have been getting into modular for a year now and have fallen into the eurorack rabbit hole. Trying to claw my way back to sanity I want to get smarter about how to make smart use of the space in my system.

What modules, functions do you prefer to combine or place together? How do you organise the space in your system so that it works best in your workflow? Do you have LFOs in one corner and effects somewhere else? Or do you create islands of voices? Or something else?

I understand that this differs from one person to another. Just curious about different approaches and your thoughts about them.

Thanks for sharing your experiences

A little sound experiment on my modular.

Thanks for all the (extensive, wow!) replies. In the meantime, I got a few new modules and updated to another rack (9U 114HP). I've told myself to restrain myself to start filling up both, so I will be using the 3U only for now. ;)

Batumi being added.

About discontinued modules: Should I avoid these in my system?

Thanks for the tips!

Hey people,

this is my first rack. Getting started with modular synths. Loving it (and terrified).
Deliberately keeping the modules relatively simple. I prefer to get the hang of analog vc-control down first before diving into complex, digital modules.

So far, what I think I'd like to change about this set up is:
- adding VC-controlled LFO's
- adding other filters

I would appreciate any advice on how to (economically ;) improve this system. What are your thoughts on the modules I have in here and which ones would you swap out first? If you had to add one or two, which ones would you choose?

Re sounds: I love ambient soundscapes, drone-type and minimal sounds. I don't like rave / chaos / 4-4 house.

Thanks!
