Blinkenlights Vactrol Drum

Analog drum module. Generates real and unreal drum sounds from filtered resonant white noise

This module creates one drum voice from a white noise transistor (a bit like the TR-808) which is filtered through a Vactrol based filter and shaped with a Vactrol VCA (all on-board). The sound ranges from very realistic bass drums, rimshots and high - hats all the way to an unreal set of blips and crashes.

• +12V 52mA, -12V 60mA (quite high, but this is about 3 modules in one!)
• 4HP wide
• 100mm deep (maximum sensible depth for Eurorack, but it packs a lot of analog stuff in)
• Voltage controlled pitch
• Knobs for initial pitch, attack, decay, resonance, and pitch envelope
• Gate input
• Trigger input (best for percussive effects)

This module can be extremely versatile. Because it's pitch controlled, it can be hooked up to a gate and voltage sequencer to create various different drum sounds one after another, or even played as a noisy oscillator with resonance turned up - although the pitch control is not volts per octave.
