The track in the video is modular synth, guitar, and some stuff from Spitfire Audio libraries.
The modular is a lot of Serge Eurorack from Random*Source and Analog Research (NTOs, DUSG, SSG, VCM, VCFQ, ANC, Random, TKB) plus Elby Designs Chaotica and Matrix Mixer and a track from Arbhar as well and some other utilities.

Thanks for watching ryanthegecko. That's what I like about modular synth, the many evocative sounds that can be expressed in many different and intriguing ways. Of course, this is true with any instrument and with the modular synth you get a huge palette which can be designed in many ways.

Also the Serge TKB, either from Random Source or Analogue Research. Expensive and a lot of HP but very powerful sequencer. And the NTO (New Timbral Oscillator) from Random Source. Analogue Research also has a few other Serge modules.

Thank you so much for the informative and detailed report. And a second big thanks for taking the time to look at the module. I had seen videos of Rabid Elephant showing a prototype at Superbooth 2019 and it seemed like this was going to be something of interest for me, especially because at that time they were talking about releasing it as a stand-alone as well as a eurorack module. Seems like they scrapped the stand-alone (too bad because that is what I would have preferred) and are just going with the module.

I received an email from Rabid Elephant yesterday stating that preorders are open but it seems like the release is still in the distant future. Not sure if I will jump on it but time will tell.

I have their Natural Gate module and I think it is fantastic. It can really deliver a cool vibe.

I am not going to Superbooth but I'm sure it will be a super fun experience for you. In addition to all the things on your list of must-do items I'll put in my request. If you can find time or happen to stroll by the Rabid Elephant booth please take a look at their new Portal Drum module (not released yet - been in the works for a few years). They showed an earlier iteration of it in 2019 and it looked fantastic in videos I saw. Let us know what you think if you happen to see it.

Forget about VCA's, for me you can never have too many Delays or Reverbs!

I also like to use strobe tuners. I have an older (now discontinued) model from Sonic Research (the ST 122), purchased many years ago. Now they only make it as a stomp box (ST-300). I ended up with both and they are both really fantastic.

Additionally, I have two apps for my phone:
iStroboSoft by Peterson - a really great strobe tuner app, has all sorts of features
insTuner from EUMlab - another good one

Two chaos modules from Elby Designs to look at:
IF 120 Chaotica
IF 108 ChaQuO

I am using the IF 120. Very happy with it.
Many of the NLC look interesting to me as well and have though about adding one.

Also, there is a difference between chaos and random. Nicholas is asking for chaos and some of the suggestions above are for random. See An Introduction to Chaos Generators by Chris Meyer for an explanation:

Lots of good info and patch examples. Helps me to understand the basic concepts.

The manufacturers who provide manuals with example patches I always find them useful and sometimes I need to study a little to understand what's going on.
