Leaning away from ER-301 even though it is a gorgeous and capable machine.
Now pondering Varigate-8/E350 or Voltage Block/Triatt/E350. Going Varigate.
Oubliette has 7 offsets/attenuverters and 5 VCAs not counting the internal VCAs in the dual Mangroves and Tides.
Nostalgia for Infinity has 4 offsets/attenuverters/VCAs from Frames and 3 VCAs from Optomix/Ripples.
Lots of sequencing options and plenty of attenuation built in on Akemie's Castle/URA but that's still on the soft side.
Something awkward about having SVVCF and Ripples. But Ripples acts as a VCA and SVVCF as a mixer.
Would love to ditch Ripples but don't want SVVCF droning and want both channels of Optomix for Akemie's.
This suggests I want more VCAs. Could automate with Frames? I might like the idea of Frames more than using it though.

This patch wound up being a lot of fun to explore though I'm still not to the "generative" point where I feel like I've composed meaningfully changing songs. Still a lot of flexibility in this routing.
Ansible/Kria driving in preset 1, pattern 5. Mangrove is the lead in constant formant mode with Braids providing bass and peaks is Drums. Braids is in WLIN mode and Mangrove has constant formant on. I played with having my 2nd Mangrove be another voice or either syncing or FM-ing the main mangrove but wound up discarding the additional complexity. Not worth its weight.
Just Friends and Sisters wind up being the main points of control for this patch as a little variation to the Curve, Intone or Time knobs produces a lot of difference in feel of the sequence.

This video makes an Arc and a ER-301 seem like a really tempting pair. But I think I can get away with either using the grid to similar effect or touch fun with Rene. Arc would be nice but ain't nobody got $$$ for that.
Rene and Erbe Verb are valuable enough that selling them to fund ER-301 sounds pretty good. Would be a bit of a bummer though.
The Dave Jones here should actually be an Optomix whose strike inputs are being hit from the envelopes from Just Friends.
Braids is in CSAW mode being driven by the White Whale sequencer playing one of the built-in major CV scale sequences, currently saved as pattern 1 on the CV B output. Maths is the control center in the patch and is self-patched to alter rise times/envelope lengths to, primarily, the FM and Gain on Ripples, as well as feedback in the delay and some self-patching.
Particular points of fun on this patch are messing with the VCAs (both veils and optomix), playing with the Log->Exp knobs on Maths especially right near the "Linear" boundry, and messing with Delay settings on the DLD. One thing I haven't done yet but should is play with subphrases on the White Whale and possibly drunken walk pattern navigation.
Can always swap Rene/Tempi for Ansible/Teletype/ErbeVerb.
Intellijel 4U case? Make Noise Skiff gives 20hp more room for maths or URA/Samara.
