When searching it would be nice for more sorting criteria, results count
-- heartcore

It's online now.

Well, you have to put this thing together by yourself, so build quality depends :)
No knob wobble, face plate is metalic, overal good parts, superb PCB.
Minor things to improve (for me):

  • No highlight of set sequencer steps
  • Knobs for mode should be stepped
  • When sequencer lines are slaved CLK OUT 2 should output the same clock as CLK OUT 1. But it still outputs the individual tempo which is set on line 2. No biggie.

Definitely a cool Euro sequencer.

Not sure if other EGs have this feature integrated, but since it just seems to be an VCA after the EG output it shut be easy to replicate...
Math can do such things, since it has a sum output for the two AR envelopes.

What exactly is accent? Is it the shortening of an envelope on an additional trigger impulse?
EGs with cv-able rise/fall can do this.

Good idea. It would depend on the discipline of users to use that function though :)
Best thing is always to implement something where the user has to do nothing, like counting only modules in the most recent rack or something.
Nevertheless the stats only show tendencies and of course are not meant to be very acurat.

I am getting "moderated" on Gearslutz to oblivion for "trying to fish their users" when announcing the new 500 series mg planner. This way pisses me off because they have no problem letting their users embed mg screenshots for discussion which adds value to their forum, imo.

Mod says, they are working on a "very large project so why would we promote of someone else's database??".
Can't wait to see this.

Perhaps they are right I don't know, but I am feeling the strong urge to block all Gearslutz image hotlinking.
Don't know why I post this, perhaps I should go for a walk in the zoo.
Hulk off.

Thread: Current Rack

I have to say, that's damn great artwork!

Thread: Change Log

It should be possible now to embed private Soundcloud links.
Copy the secret link from the Share menu of the track to do that.

Happy Builder here!
Had awesome fun while messing with this Brulu Demo Patch!

Done

Thread: Comments?

I think you already found it out: You can still comment directly on the module detail pages (scroll to the bottom), but every comment is also accessible in the forum.

That's always sad.
I can hardly part things I rarely use, the horror to sell stuff I love ...
I hope everything will be fine.

I clearly said Ladies not Zombies!

Not sure if this will frighten away the zombies or lure them...

Please, the XR22 VCO module is not digital, it is analog!
-- Christian G

I have removed the digital tag.

I completely understand what you mean.
The problem: since ModularGrid is a Wiki there is no "authority" to validate all the specs, everyone can edit anything, and so you can quite be sure that a lot of specs are simply wrong or entered by different standards. We have this issues on the power requirements too and I doubt that this will ever change.
The quantity of modules in Euro is just overwhelming.

Overall I think the system works nonetheless by relying on some sort of swarm intelligence.
In doubt you can always double check by looking at John's Eurorack Database.

Good question. Every manufacturer has his own way to measure depth, so I don't think we can set a standard here.
But as you mentioned, since the depth depends on the power cable you use, I would vote to measure the module depth without power cable attached.

oh well, if you can fix it why not.
probably not a so big deal, excepted the fact that some foreign intelligence may steal my rack plan...
-- 0x00

The new "fix" is online. Users simply can not comment on private racks anymore and so they will not end here accidentally.
Regarding foreign intelligence: there is no solution in sight. Somebody is building a huge modular from your plan and tax money right now.

Argh, this is broken by design. All comments end up in the forum section.
Have to fix this or find a workaround, sorry...

Thread: Canvas

Hmm, I don't think there is an alternative option for the Voltage Controlled Fan.
Perhaps you could use a more vanilla clock source for the Divider/Pressure Points combo? And some standard VCAs wouldn't hurt either.

Thread: Black Hole

Yep. And for shameless self promotion: skip one interface and reserve the space for an Ultima Ratio, a clock divider which is build for such purposes and will be available soon

Thread: Black Hole

Depends on the available CV outputs. You are right, this can be a bottleneck.
When I started modular I wanted to control everything via MIDI but very quickly lost my interest in it.
But if you using a DAW and a Multi Out Audio Interface to sequence are you aware about the PlugIn solutions like Silent Way?
For DAW sync you can also just output an audio click track, needs no MIDI to do so.

Thread: Black Hole

Looks like a solid eastcoast rack. Two MIDI interfaces?

In the meantime my kit arrived and I had a blast building this!

Everything is very well layouted and I was able to get it working on first try!

Flagged as duplicate

Mod has fixed this.

This is the patch of the lead synth.

Beautiful!

Thread: Chopper

Copied this patch without shame from http://www.modular-planet.de/fx/chopper/chopper.html.

Submit button working again?

Kids can do this?

I guess the reverb tank won't fit in this rack :)

What about all the ES1 Racks popping up the last hour?Did I missed a trend?

I see. No, it's not possible to display that on MG. All modules of one format have to share the same height.

"Edit Rack" -> choose another rack theme. Have no idea what a magic bus is ...

Can the MOTM crowd help to upload missing images?

=exper/sets/3-complex-analog-osc-tests

... and this is a track I made with it

This is Rack No.1 on ModularGrid. Planning this Rack brought me the idea to build this website.

I have flagged this one as a duplicate because the other entry is older and has way more racks attached.@Erica Synths: this is probably the best solution and you can still edit any data/image on the other module.

Flagged as private. Device is not a module.

Makes sense, thanks :)

Looks great! Will these ever be available in Europe?

Can someone who owns this module confirm the width? It's stated 12HP by Cwejman but looks more like 14HP.

Like you said, the problem is that ModularGrid does not support this format. So this is a compromise in the graphic representation of this modules.

Problem is that nobody would layout their realworld racks with this compromise (wasted space).

So I am not sure if it is really useful to plan a system. But for sure people maybe interested that this subformat exists, so for now the tile modules should stay until we find a better (technical) solution.

Not sure if those tile thingies make sense?

I have extended the HP Limit to 84. So someone can upload this thing again as one module.

Mighty admin flagged it as private.

Thanks!
