DUPLICATE of http://www.modulargrid.net/e/circuit-abbey-mult No point in filing it under Thonk. It's a Circuit Abbey product, sold through the Thonk store.

Original entry has been updated with MW URL where the module announcement was made by Circuit Abbey.

Love the adjustable lenght idea

www.modularparts.net

I measure 3mA 12V and 3ma -12V for power consumption.

This filter is quite grungy sounding. The Paperiel with LM4250's is much cleaner sounding, so is the Mutable Instruments version (for the Shruthi).

This is labeled video switcher but works great switch audio. Vactrols soften edges when switching inputs. Nicely done module.

When?

Please update power consumtion on the other one to match this.

I have flagged this one as a duplicate because the other entry is older and has way more racks attached.@Erica Synths: this is probably the best solution and you can still edit any data/image on the other module.

The first one was uploaded by the customer, this is by me, Erica Synths - I'm about to announce about 10 new modules form Erica Synths in couple of months. Can administratr merge these?

i own this module.   beautiful sound.  similar to 3320 but a tad more acidic. capable of powerful selfoscillation.  not as liquid as 8109, but has drier/focused tone, with exponential envelopes make nice percussive almost wooden tones.

great! thanks so much. ring modulation, here I come!

on a side note, i ended up going through a batch of about 20 diodes to find four that matched very well.  This made a huge difference.

@ootini, here's the front panel designer file:http://peff.com/synthesizers/modular/2hp-ring_modulator.fpd.zipand more information about the circuit:http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/cgsrr.html

Wow, this is awesome. Is there a post on muffwiggler about this ?

looks really nice. would you mind sharing the planel file for front panel express? i'd really appreciate it. this is just the ticket for my final 2hp hole :) oootini at yahoo dot com

no worries if you'd rather not :)

It's aluminum.  I had it made by front panel express. The circuit is based on the Ken Stone Real Ring Modulator.

cool panel! how did you do this? is it an alu panel?

Circuit design by Thomas Henry, PCB design and Serge adaption by Matthias Herrmann (fonitronik).

Thanks, I looked at that and I guess I just couldn't believe my own eyes.  I guess if those 250mA are the limiting factor here, and especially if you have other modules with higher startup requirements, something like this would be of help: http://www.perfectcircuitaudio.com/electronic/modular/cgs763-power-supply-delay.html

have a look at the Metasonix website. To my amazement, I discovered that "800-850 mA cold startup is required for 3-5 seconds" :-O

http://www.metasonix.com/v3/index.php/r-56-reverb

Can anyone confirm this is 600 mA total?

finaly something i'd fully like to get. i have been following your work for years. great stuff! i have planned a little expansion/controller box with it: ModularGrid Rack

when is it gonna be available?

cheers!

Wow that's changed! Looks great.

Thank you Nuuttipukki, that's my goal to design it to be a main controlling/sequencing module!

Here is a pic of the new prototype : http://instagram.com/p/mbuzLprvHS/

Thats good .) this should be mine core controlling/sequencing module. Looks so promising...

Test faceplates should be able to arrive today. The new prototype would be finished in 2-3 days.

any updates on this module?

Any documentation on this?

you will not be disapointed !!!

Matt, is there any chance you're selling these yet as kits or assembled? I'd be very intersted in buying one.

Sure, here's what it does.

  1. it's a set of mults and attenuators

  2. it covers all inputs/outputs of the MiniBrute (Audio and CV)

  3. it adds attenuators for VCA and VCF input on the MiniBrute

  4. it's completely passive

There's a MW thread as well http://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=108849&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

can you tell us a bit more about the functions of the module?

Cheers! Und grüße aus Stuttgart :)

PCBs are pretty much done, hoping to do a first batch soon.

For those who are interested, there's a newsletter/interest list available on my blog (no strings attached)

ha, you're from stuttgart!

Viele Grüße aus Frankfurt!!

you definitely need to do a kit - as everyone is keen on modding their gear since the korg stuff is out, this would go through the roof!

Working on it!

Please do! I wouldn't mind one of these. Very useful.

Hey there,

it's a one of a kind thing for now though I'm thinking about making it available at some point most likely in kit form. For news and updates keep an eye on my blog at http://ka010.com ;

Where can I get this or is it a custom, one-of-a-kind thing?

This is in testing period now! More info in a couple of days. ;)

any demos?

I absolutely love this module.

I stupidly sold mine some time ago and it's one of those modules you really regret getting rid of. So I got another.
Happy days.

I love the look, feel, concept, and sound of this. Eager to experience it more!

If you have an RCD this is an indispensable add-on.

That make perfect sense after using it.

Hi David

I usually turn the gain to zero in my patches and have an ADSR completely control the range of the VCA.

The Intial Gain provides lots of gain. I found that it has to be set pretty low to make the VCA have any range. It might be nice as a mod to add an LED to show when you've overdriven the input.

Thanks! It's not pretty but it works ... well, it does sparkle a little when you shine a light on it :D

Love it!
