I would prefer a pingable LFO. The Doepfer is really big and not really cheap according to what he can do. And he's missing S/H, which I couldn't live without!
Apart from that, maybe you can choose the Double VCA produced by Doepfer, which isn't much more expensive.
Schneiders Laden is asking 325,- for the new module at this time.
On the Module Detail Page there is no hint on panels and pcbs. So I just checked the price for an assembeled module.
