This is what one might wanna call dense music. And pretty aggressive here and there, too. All synth parts were recorded and layered with the RYK Vector Wave processed thru Noiswasp, Disting Ex Resonator algo and Mimeophon. Beats by Nord Drum2 processed thru Tanh3, QPAS and Messor. This is one of my more likeable compositions and while I rarely if ever refer to my work as beautiful, this piece packs some beauty, I think…

The RYK Vector Wave is running in Multi mode with voices 1 + 2 patched into the Erbe-Verb and voices 3+4 into the Empress Reverb; all four voices are also patched into the Resonator algorithm running on the Disting Ex, then on to the OTO BAM reverb. Resonator is the implementation of MI’s Rings on the Ex and I find it amazing. Until 1:05 in the video only the Resonator is audible, processing all four voices from the VW with pitch CV coming from René, no dry signal, only the Resonator. The Nord Drum enters at 1:05 followed by the clean signals from VW at around 1:25 and 1:45.
The VW is receiving pitch CV from the Moog Sub37 via MI Yarns which is running in 4-poly mode. The four voices on the VW are triggered independently by Pam's NWO.
Beats are delivered by the Nord Drum 2 thru the Mimeophon, triggers by the Robaux LL8. There's not much happening in the video other than the vector animation on the VW but it was recorded live with no overdubs added in post-production. Thank you for watching.

Nice example. I was on the fence with this module as I was trying to balance analog & digital, but I ended up ordering one anyway as the 80s Synthwave/Retro Electro vibe won out over reason and responsibility.

I'm going to run it via NerdSeq/MIDI, but I also got the expander for options. Now for 5-7 day shipping wait...

Thanks! I've been after on-board polyphony for some time now and when I first saw the Vector Wave pop up in a non-related video on YT I kinda knew it was what I needed and pre-ordered the module and the expander as soon as that was possible. I also look forward to controlling it with MIDI cc, though first I'll need some more cables for that.

This year's major modular synth-investment for me was the new Vector Wave by RYK Modular (also picked up the gate/CV expander). After a few days of getting ourselves introduced to each other I find the RYK VW a very deep and complex module with true 4-voice polyphony, 16 oscillators, 2 x LFOs, 2 x EGs, a plethora of mod options, and more. I put together this really short piece by recording three different parts. Sequencing, gates and pitch CV by OP-1 via MI Yarns, fx by Mimeophon.

Btw today I mounted a new module inside the Skiff (Black Noise Sallen Key MS20 filter), and also some blank panel.

I got as many blanks to close all the holes inside this 104HP long case.... and big surprise... I'm left with exactly a 2hp gap at the end! does anybody else ever noticed this additional space on their Skiffs?

I had the same experience with the 104 hp skiff - a gap was still there after filling up all the 104 hp, I am not sure though it was exactly 2 hp, never took any measurements. Btw, I am selling mine (104 hp, powered, original PSU, a pack of M2,5 screws, shipping to EU ), is there any way to list a eurorack case in the Marketplace here at the site? Thanks!

For video editing I use Movavi Video Editor Plus 2020 - I bought it when I needed an affordable software for video work and thought I'd found the right value/ratio but it soon turned out this wasn't the case. It has a limited set of video fx with limited features on board and constantly wants me to pay for more plugins/options. The fx I used in this video is called Broken Lens and is one of the better ones Movavi has to offer.

I don't own a TD3 but route external hardware instruments like Nord Drum, OP-1 directly into VCAs in my rack on a regular basis - no problems detected.

My new (not very large, only 4 x 104 hp) custom powered case was built by Uryan Modular, a small business that happens to be operating in my country. The prices are pretty friendly, the build quality is great. They use Meanwell PSUs with plenty of reserve power. One example for a larger case (17U/168 hp, 160 module slots, 4 x 2800 mA +12v, 4 x 500 mA -12v):
